Public Hearing Notice
Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1290, 2021

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing pursuant to Section 464 of the Local Government Act will be held via online Zoom meeting on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 at 4:30 PM to hear and review representations from members of the public who deem their interest in property affected by the following bylaw:

“District of Tofino Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1290, 2021” (repealing and replacing “District of Tofino Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1200, 2012”).

An Official Community Plan informs decisions on planning, land use management and the provision of services within the community. All pertinent bylaws and works undertaken by Council must be consistent with the Official Community Plan.

Owner/Applicant: District of Tofino. Review the Bylaw: The Bylaw and further information may be inspected at or at the Tofino Municipal Office at 121 Third St. Tofino, B.C., during regular business hours (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) between Wednesday February 10th, 2021 and Monday February 22nd, 2021 except weekends and statutory holidays.

Virtual Public Hearing due to COVID-19: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and in accordance with Ministerial Order 192, this Public Hearing will be conducted virtually using the online meeting platform ‘Zoom’ which allows the public to participate via webinar or by phone. All persons who deem their interest in property affected by the proposed bylaw will be given an opportunity to be heard on matters contained in the bylaw via Zoom, or by submitting written comments.
